Week Update

Ok so...

Last Sunday I decided that every Sunday I would do a Life update blog post so here is my first post in this little section thing, please let me know if you like these so I know weather or not to do it this in the future!

 

First life update:

I'm really sad because I have to go back to school on Wednesday and I'm going to be year 11 which means exams! :(

 

Second life update:

I bought a new foundation!  Now I don't really wear foundation but I decided to try it, I got it from Superdrug and it is the NYC all day long smooth skin foundation in shade 737 Classic Ivory, it was meant to be £3.99 but there is an offer on at the minute where all the NYC products are £2.50 or less and it was reduced to £2.49 which is a bargain and I'm going to do a first impression blog post about it maybe tomorrow or the day after so keep a look out for that.

 

Third life update:

Recently I haven't had a clue what to blog about so I have got a few things ready to review so I'll have a few blog posts ideas to keep me busy.

MUA undressed palette review

Ok so...

A few months ago I bought the undressed eye shadow palette by MUA, it is my favourite MUA product and possibly my favourite make up product so I've decided to do a review on it, please note this is not a sponsored review. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I bought this palette from Superdrug for £4, I'd seen it in Superdrug for a while and wanted it really bad, also I had heard really good things about it and that it was the dupe to The Naked Palette, I really want the naked palette but I don't want it, the reason for this is because at the minute the only way I get my money is pocket money and I can't get a paid job yet because I'm only 15 however I do volunteer at a charity shop and that will help my chances when I do get a paying job, so obviously I can't afford it yet and don't want to spend all my money on a palette.  So I bought this and it is possibly the best £4 I've ever spent!  You get a lot for your money with this palette because you get 12 eye shadows in nude colours, the only thing I don't like about this is that the eye shadows don't have names, they have numbers, but I have heard that the undressed 2 palette has names instead of numbers, but I'm not completely sure.  The colours are really good and are really pigmented, they are easy to blend which is good because there is a variety of different colours including light and dark colours which is really good for creating the Smokey eye look, also there is "mini master class" on the back which shows you how to create the Smokey eye look and I think this is a really good and cute idea.  The packaging is ok, it's not amazing but it is ok, it is plastic but the lid does stay shut and you do get a little eye shadow brush which is ok, I used to use it all the time but I recently got a new set of brushes so I use them.

August Favourites

Ok so...
Today I'm going to do my August Favourites, I've never done a favourite blog post before so if it's bad I do apologise, but let's get on with it...

My first favourite of this month is the Batiste dry shampoo in pretty & opulent oriental, I love this and I use it all the time, it is amazing and is so easy to use, I have this one because I love the bottle and it smells better than the rest of them, a lot of people say that the Cherry one smells the nicest, but I think that the cherry one is too over powering and personally I prefer a fresher scent.  I also have the floral and flirty blush which I gave to my sister because I really don't like the smell of that as it's too strong for me but It really does work!

My next favourite is the pressed powder by Collection in shade 01 Candlelight, I've only had this a week but OMG, it's amazing! I don't normally use powders and honestly the only other powder I have is the MUA Pressed powder is shade 1, but the Collection one is amazing, It's the perfect shade for me, and I have trouble finding the right shades because I have light skin but I have a lot of freckles so I can't get shades too light or too dark, so this is perfect, I've used it every time I have put on my make up this week, I use it over my Natural collection tinted moisturiser to give it a matte finish, and I have even used it on it's own to just give my face a bit of colour!  It's amazing!

Next is the MUA Undresses eye shadow palette, I love this so much, It's by far my favourite MUA product and possibly my favourite Make up product, I use it all the time, but I'm not going to go into detail about it because I have the swatches ready and I'm going to do a review on it later or tomorrow!

My 4th favourite is the Avon Super Enchant mascara, I love this mascara, I use it all the time, It doesn't have a shade number on it but it is just a plain black mascara.  One of my favourite things about this mascara is the brush, it is a kind of curved brush so it emphasises the lashes so they look huge and that is the kind of look I like because I have really short eyelashes and I have tried everything to grow them, including putting Vaseline on them, which does work!  It's just a really good product and I love it.

My last favourite of this month is my MUA Lipstick in shade 12, I love this shade so much, it is my favourite lipstick of all time, it's from the professional range and it is the best, it's that good they always run out of stock in my local Superdrug and online.  It's a pink colour with little bits of glitter in, I did swatch it but it doesn't show up properly but trust me it's the nicest colour EVER!

HAUL!!! Superdrug, The body shop and Primark.

Ok so...

Today I went shopping with my little sister, we went into town and Obviously I bought too much so I've decided to write a blog post about it! BUT before I start, while I was taking my photos of everything I bought my  camera died and it wouldn't focus and then it died so I didn't manage to take all of the pictures but I'll talk about them anyways...

We went to Superdrug first so I'm going to start with the things we bought from there:

The first thing I bought was a MUA lipstick, I love these and they are only £1 each, the only thing I have found with these is that they lean over and bend to the side, but I still love them, I got shade 3 and this is just the normal lipstick not the matte one and It is the nicest colour ever, it's so bright so it's more of a summer colour but I'll be able to make it work with my winter jumpers!

The next thing I bought from Superdrug was the NYC Individual eyes pallet this is in shade 941 Smokey Browns created for brown eyes.  Now I've never used any NYC make up before but I have heard really good things about it.  I got this because I wanted a new pallet (even though I have loads) and recently I have been experimenting and trying to master the Smokey eye look and this is perfect because it has labels to tell you what shade is for which part of the eye and there's a really easy to understand diagram on the back. Also at Superdrug right now there is an offer on all NYC make up and it's £2.50 or less on each product, and this was £2.49 and I can't wait to use it.

The Last thing I bought from Superdrug was the MUA precision felt eyeliner and this from the new range from MUA, it's from the LUXE London range and is something I've wanted to try for ages, I don't really wear eyeliner and the only eyeliner I own is pencil eyeliner and I HATE using them because I'm always scared that I'm going to poke myself in the eye! This was £3.

We then went to The Body shop and where I live it had closed down to be refurbished and to make it look nice, It was then re opened the other day and I had wanted one of the body butters for ages so I went in and I saw some mini ones for only £5 so I had to get one plus I don't use body butter much so there was no point getting a big one when I could have just gotten a smaller one, I got it in pink grapefruit and it smells soooo good!

We then went into Primark and I got some new shoes, I really love these shoes and I have had orange ones before and they are the comfiest things ever, I love them and what I love more is that they don't just stop where normal shoes do because they don't have a big tounge, they're just amazing and for £3 they're even better!  I also got another pack of rings from Primark for £1.50 but as I said my camera died while I was taking pictures :/

So that's it really, anyways... I'm going to do my August favourites tomorrow but I'm seriously running out of ideas for my blog and what to blog about so if you have any suggestions please leave a comment! It would be really appreciated.

Well I am a teenager, but I can still answer this.  Recently I've been going through a rough time at school, I lost all of my friends and I'm really not looking forward to going back, but I have always told myself that it'll all be okay in the end and to just not to care what people think, Life's to short...

This is weird but...

When I was about 10 and my sister and cousin were about 5 we were playing upstairs in my nans house and we had this dressing up box, in the box there was a little red nurses cape so I put it on and chased my sister and cousin around my nans house, my sister and cousin ran into my nans room and closed the door, now, ever since we were little my nan has always said "Never shut the doors in this house because they lock on there own, so NEVER SHUT THE DOOR!" and they shut the door, at this point I was really panicking because the door wouldn't open and I knew that I'd get the blame for it and then I heard my sister say "Lets jump out of the window" so I shouted my nan and it took a whole hour to get them out! I'll never forget that...

 

10. Makeup staple in your routine?

I don't understand this question but I think it means like what make up product I always use, and that would be Mascara.

Nail varnish look...

Ok so...
I didn't have a clue what to blog about today!!!
Anyways, I found some pictures I'd taken a few weeks ago of my nails so I decided to Blog about it! :)
Soooo...
I used my purple seventeen nail colour nail varnish, it doesn't have a shade but I'll post a picture below.
I then used the nail paint by BarryM, in shade 350 which is Diamond Glitter, I used this as a top coat because I love sparkly nails!!!
I then used Avon's nail wear pro+ top coat (vernis top coat) I used this because it leaves a matte look on your nails and I love matte nails and it looks amazing with the glitter...

Alton Towers - We got stuck on the haunted house ride!

Ok so...
Yesterday me and my family went to Alton Towers for my sister's 11th birthday!  Now I'm not a very big fan of rollercoasters, but I went on most of the rides, so I was pretty proud of myself!  I went on the flume, the rapids, the haunted house and the runaway mine train!  It was a really good day until we decided to go on the haunted house ride, we got on the ride and there wasn't even a queue, we have been on the ride before so we knew what was going to happen during the ride, but about half way through the ride, it stopped, and to be honest the ride is scary enough, without it stopping, when it stopped we had just got to a bit where ghosts come out at you, when it stopped I was thinking 'oh it's just stopped to make it more scary' and suddenly it went darker and a loud voice came from the speaker above us saying "THE RIDE WILL RESTART IN A BIT" then I knew that the ride had broken down :( so we were sat in a small cartridge with a ghost figure stood next to me for around 5 minutes, which was the longest 5 minutes of my life, then it suddenly restarted, but OMG, it really was the scariest thing EVER!!! But apart from that it was a pretty awesome day.

In other news...

I've decided that every Sunday, I'm going to do a life catch up blog post, where I basically tell you what's happening in my life!

I've been listening to some old songs recently, and I like them songs more than I like the songs that are in the charts at the minute... I like them that much I might do a old songs playlist
blog post later tonight!

Ok so...
Today I went to Alton Towers which was pretty cool (blog post about it tomorrow) but anyways, the other day I went shopping with my friends and before I went I took some pictures to do a blog about my OOTD, but I completely forgot about it, and the other day I found the pictures on my phone, so here it is... 100 FOLLOWERS!!!

Ok so...
I've just logged onto my Bloglovin and OMG, I HAVE 100 FOLLOWERS!!! You don't even realise how happy I am right now!!!  I would just like to thank EVERYONE who's followed me and likes my post, because honestly it feels like I'm just writing this blog to myself sometimes...
I'm really proud of myself, because I remember starting this blog EXACTLY 1 month and 1 day ago and having no followers, and all I kept on thinking was "you're going to get nowhere with this blog" and then I got my first follower and I was so happy, and now I'm at 100 followers!  I know that people are going to read this and think that 100 followers isn't a lot, but it is to me, it does take a lot to build up followers, and for me it's a big achievement! Ever since I started High school I've hated my freckles so much, but in the past week or so I have learned to love them, I don't know why but yano...

I FAILED!!!

OK so... The other day I wrote a blog post about how I was going to do the 7 day no make up challenge, but, erm, I kinda failed... It's now day 3 and I have put make up today and yesterday, I'M SORRY!  I just couldn't help myself, yesterday i went shopping with my friends so I didn't want to go out looking really ugly and today I went to my nans house so again I was leaving the house so I didn't want to leave the house looking ugly -.-  However I have stuck to exfoliating my face at night and using spot treatment...

In other news I reached 75 followers, which is kinda mad because I've only been blogging since the middle of July! :)

I also have a YouTube Chanel which is called Shannon Plant, so go check it out and i would really appreciate it! I'm going to be uploading videos every Friday and vlogs whenever!  I already have my days 1 - 5 holiday vlog up, I'm going to post the rest tonight, so go check it out and my first Friday video is going to be the 50 questions tag! I'll post a link to my YouTube channel below.

At the minute I'm trying to post a blog post everyday but this might be hard when I go back to school because I'll have exams and stuff so I'm going to start thinking about a routine, any suggestions would be really helpful!

1) What was the last item you bought?

The last item I bought was collection pressed powder in shade 01 candlelight, I bought that today while I was on my lunch break at work.  I got it from boots for £1.99

 

2) Why did you want to start blogging?

I just wanted somewhere I could go and write stuff and just be myself! none of my family members or friends have ever read my blog, they know about it but I won't let them see it, this is because I wanted something that could just be mine and I wouldn't have to share it with people that didn't truly understand me, and I'm a really Awkward person as well so it would be just awful,  like you don't even know...

 

3) If you could have any career what would it be?

A fashion designer. I love fashion so much and I absolutely love Henry Holland stuff! I would love to travel the world and do YouTube as well.  How awesome would that be!

 

4) What's the scariest thing you have done?

I haven't really done anything scary before.  I don't think I'm scared of anything either, spiders and insects are just so cute, I love them! Clowns are okay - they don't really scare me, I'm not keen on them but I wouldn't say I'm scared of them.  I believe in ghosts so they don't really bother me.  Heights aren't a problem and I'm not scared of the dark I could say that I get worried what's in it but not scared.  The only thing I can think of was once when I was little I was about 9 or 10, me my mum and my nan went to a west life concert, everything was going great until I choked on a SOFTMINT!!! I couldn't breathe and for a moment I thought I was going to die, it was the scariest moment of my life.  Luckily I managed to swallow it but OMG I thought I was going to die! 

 

5)  What achievement are you most proud of? 

 

Award:  I got my BP (Baden Powell) award at guides and I worked soooo hard for it, It took me around 3 years overall to complete but it was completely worth it!

 

Other achievement:  I had my hair cut for the little princess trust and raised over £600! I donated over 45 inches of hair to children suffering from cancer. 

 

6) What is better money or love?

I think that the right answer for this is LOVE mostly because if you had a choice of either

a) being mega rich but being lonely for the rest of your life and die alone or b) Be really poor but have a good strong healthy relationship and die being loved.  I would rather choose b mainly because money isn't everything in life, I'd rather be well loved than not loved at all, also when you are rich you don't know who is fake and who is real because people would just hang around with you for the money...

 

7) Have you ever cried because of a film, book or TV show? If so what was it?

I don't cry at these types of things I get emotional so here's a list of films, books and TV shows I got a bit emotional at...

 

a) The Fault In Our Stars (book and film)

I didn't really cry at the book, I felt a bit sad but THE FILM KILLED MEEEE, I went to watch it with my friend and we were sat there and a sad bit came on and a little tear came from my eye and then another and then another, I wouldn't call this crying because I wasn't but when the lights turned on, my friend LAUGHED at me, literally LAUGHED in my face because of how sad I was.  Tbf the girl next to me was so much worse than me, she was having some like mental breakdown with crying and noises, it was weird.

 

b) Marley and me (film)

The reason this film made me upset was because I have a dog so when the dog dies I got really upset because I know that one day that's going to happen to my dog and I am dreading that day because my dog means more to me than anything else in this world, so i could really relate.

 

c) The Only Way Is Essex (TV show)

Now this is a weird one.  I got really upset at the episode where Joey is opening up about his mum dying and seeing someone that upset just really got to me, I love Joey, he is one of my Favourite people in the world and just seeing him like that, I just couldn't...

 

8) Which country would you most like to visit?

Probably America because I want to go to the shops!

 

9) What is your favourite all time skincare, makeup item and hair product?

My favourite skincare product is the soap and glory moisturiser,  my favourite make up product is MUA's Lipstick in shade 12 which is only £1!!! My favourite hair product is (if it counts my straighteners) Joey Essex sea salt spray, I use it all the time and would defiantly recommend it

TROYE SIVAN!!! 5sos, the vamps, Bastille, All time low, Busted, Feeder, IGGY etc.

Hardest thing I've ever done?

Ok so... This is going to be the hardest thing I have EVER done, but I'm going to do the 7 day no make up challenge.  Recently I have been having a lot of spots appearing on my face and I have come to the conclusion that it is because of how much make up I have been wearing, not so much mascara and lip gloss but foundation and powder and bronzer and concealer etc.  When I went on holiday I was wearing make up every single night, which is kind of a lot for me because I only wear a lot of makeup at the weekends, I put a tiny bit on for school but I'm wasn't used to wearing that much!  Now I don't know whenever this challenge already exists or if I've just made it up, but I'm going to give it a go, also I'm going to be using Wilkos new skincare range which is in tea tree to see if that helps to!  The reason this is going to be hard is because I'm going out with my friends tomorrow and every time I go out in public I put on make up and it's my sisters birthday on Saturday so we are also going out then as well, but I've managed to handle today at work so it's okay I suppose.  I'm still going to be wearing mascara and lip-gloss because I can't live without wearing them.  so I'm going to do another blog post next Sunday with pictures saying weather it works or not!

New look, primark, superdrug and wilko's haul - Holiday haul part 2!!!

MY HOLIDAY HAUL PART 2!!!

So when I came back from my holiday I still had quite a few euros left, so my mum and dad bought them off us!  Today me and my sister went shopping together so, I've decided to blog about it and it is going to be part 2 !!! We went to lots of shops and spent around £45 each, here's what I bought...

1) Collection lip-balm.
I'd been looking at collections make up collection for a while and when we where shopping we went into Superdrug and they had these really cute lip balms for £1.50 so I had to get one, so I got shade 2 (strawberry) and it is the limited edition Mardi Gras lip balm.  I haven't yet used it but if it's anything like baby lips then it's going to be amazing!

2) Ring 5 pack (from Primark)
 I got this pack of rings for £1.50 at Primark because I've wanted a pack of Primark rings for ages, I know that they aren't going to be the best and they might even turn my fingers green but they're really cute and are only £1.50 so you can't really moan!

 

3) spot treatment from wilkos.

I got this because recently I have been getting a lot of spots so I want to treat them before they get worse, these were from the new range at wilkos which is called SKIN.  I got the tea tree facial scrub which helps to unclog pores while cleansing and exfoliating and I also got the overnight calming blemish serum which is an overnight treatment which penetrates pores for a clearer complexion.  These were £2 each.

4) 3 Superdrug face masks.

I got these facemasks because they are AMAZING!!! I love them so much, I get them all the time, they do exactly what they say on the packet, and at 99p each they're even better.  Also they always seem to be on buy 2 get 1 free which is just so WOW!!!

5) queen bee Primark purse.

I got this because I HAD TO!!! So in my family everyone calls me the Queen bee, because I always used to go round singing "you can call me queen beeeeee" so everyone calls me it now! so I had to get it, I'm not going to use it as a purse, what I'm going to do is put all of my little lip balms in it and put it in my bag so all my little lip balms with me all the time :) it was £2 from Primark.

6) A folding brush.

I got this because I have wanted one for ages just to keep in my bag, I got it from wilkos for £1 I think.

7) a whole new outfit - Jeans, shoes and vest.
This was the reason that I went shopping.  The other day I accidently ripped my favourite pair of jeans and I had to get some new ones so I went to New Look and they had the BIGGEST sale ever! so I ended up getting a new pair of jeans for £9 I then found a vest which I fell in love with and it was only £2! Finally, I made the mistake of going over to the shoes, where I instantly fell in love with some wedges, I wasn't sure if my mum and dad would approve of this buy as the wedge is quite high but I couldn't say no because they were only £11!!!
